We purchased this to try to soften up a standard Tempurpedic mattress. My wife weighs so little that the Tempurpedic material doesn't warm up and give when she sleeps on it, making the mattress like conrete for her. This mattress pad is very comfortable and we might end up keeping it. However, there are several things that detract from its overall quality. One is that the pad is nowhere near 6" thick. Maybe the cover itself is capable of expanding to that height, but it is not filled with 6" of filling, even before we ever laid on it and even after we try to fluff it up just to see if it expands that much. It is closer to a true 3" if that. Also, it is not standard queen size. To have the pad fit on my wife's side of the bed, at least 3" of my side is not covered. I would get the king instead but it is $60 more. So, in short, while this pad is really really comfortable, it is not as advertised and has left us a bit frustrated.

As soon as I opened it, I knew it was not 6 inches of fill. I measured it and it was only 2 1/2 inches. That was so not worth the price I paid. I sent it back.

For those of you that haven't had the wonderful experience of a college dorm bed this topper has changed my life. The first two weeks of college was terrible since I could not fall asleep for more than 4 hours at a time on the beds provided. Last night after using this product was the best sleep since I've been at college. It provides the support and softness that i need for sleeping. I was hesitant to buy it at first due to the price, but I'd buy it all over again since I don't feel tired in the middle of the day anymore. I was thinking of buying a feather bed topper but decided against it since I heard that they trap body and I am a hot sleeper and with this the heat retention was tolerable. Overall great product and purchase.
